WIN BEAD MANAGER PRO software worth $147

If you were like me you probably enjoy beading and would like to have all the time in the world just for that. Well, I don't think that will ever happen, but at least I think I am heading that direction.

As friends and coworkers started asking me to make jewelry for them as well, I officially entered the world known as "jewelry business". I had to start treating my jewelry venture as a business and I was suppose to keep the inventory of materials, costs, products etc. I was of course using my trusty notebook but I had hard time to keep up with what beads are left in my stash, how much I paid for them, even where did I get them; I was spending my time on writing and re-writing. Not to mention that I was always guessing how much to charge for that necklace or bracelet? Not any more!

I bought a Bead Manager Pro software that does all that work for me since.
Now they are giving away  a copy of THE NEWEST VERSION OF THIS SOFTWARE. You can also become the owner of one if you register to win.

If you would you like to enjoy the production part of jewelry making and not wasting time on keeping up with the paperwork, I would suggest click here to win!

Don't wait, time is ticking out...

I wish you the best of luck in winning this treasure! LJ

FREE pattern for Cobalt Blue Earrings

I had those two gorgeous vintage cerulean color buttons in my stash for awhile. This pattern complements their rustic feel perfectly. Cobalt is my second favorite color next to lavender, definetly my holiday wear for this year.

Sandy's Cab

As I was digging through my jewelry photos, I came across this beautiful cab.
Gemstone was about 3 inches long, rounded, deep green and purple colors, could not remember the name anymore...
I made this necklace for my friend Sandy years ago, who was a manager at a local bead store where I used to teach jewelry classes. I have to admit, this was my first attempt to encase such a large, heavy and smooth/slippery object; I remember it was hard to hold beads in place. The key was in creating sturdy net and peyote structure as a base for further embellishments and additional reinforcements for the weight.

Do you have any suggestions what else I could have done to support this large stone?

My version of Marjan Pendant

I was ecstatic when I bought October edition of Bead & Button. There it was: gorgeous Marjan pendant from Riana Olckers, inspired by the Marjan peninsula in Croatia. For a true Croatian this is an exceptional honor. Split is my favorite city next to Zagreb and Marjan peninsula is equally close to my heart.
This stunning pendant features stacked medallions with a triangle-shaped drop.
Of course I wanted to have one of my own and got to work right away. I followed architectural secret that Riana applied so wisely and added a personal touch to this treasure. I made larger triangle and added a button featuring a seahorse from a warm Adriatic sea. Large 20mm yellow Czech glass beads resemble Mediteranian sun arising over Marjan peninsula. Take a moment and share with me your comments. LJ

LITTLE BEADED PURSE!

I love this pendant!!!

This is my version of Diane Fitzgerald's "Purse" from her book "Shaped Beadwork".

This is truly amazing edition of her work. Projects seem to be a little bit more complex, but her instructions will lead you well to finish whatever you have started. Just browsing through the colorful project pages flames up your imagination; trust me, it's worth trying. This is definitely the must have in every beader's library.

Let me know what you have tried to tackle from this book. LJ

Something new from my beading stash, but something that resembles old...

Bodacious Pendant

This pendant looks like one that could of been worn on a velvet ribbon choker by a lady traveling first class on Titanic on April 15, 1912.
I created this enchanting looking pendant as my contribution to commemorate Titanic 100 years later. It is my favorite piece so far, I hope you will like it too.
